Villa Julie, an impressive listed building, was built in 1903/1904 in Weyher on the Southern Wine Route. The building is classified as historicist, although Art Nouveau elements are already visible both on the facade and in the interior.
In 2022/2023, comprehensive renovation and modernization work was carried out under the direction of the architectural firm “tnt architektur landau” and in close consultation with the heritage authorities. In addition to the necessary modernization work, the main objective was to preserve the charm of the listed building and to accentuate its architectural features.
Villa Julie is situated on a slight rise in the middle of a roughly 2,800 square meter property. The main entrance is on Oberdorfstrasse. A path winds through a park with very old trees – some dating back to the original construction – leading to a beautiful sandstone staircase that ascends to the villa’s vestibule.
The building has three floors; the ground floor is occupied by the owners, the second floor is permanently rented. The holiday apartment is located on the first floor.
