Midway between Neustadt and Landau, and somewhat removed from the hustle and bustle of the Wine Route, Weyher is one of the few villages situated directly on the edge of the Haardt Mountains and an ideal starting point for challenging hikes or leisurely strolls.
The village itself has a general store with a café where you can buy baked goods and everyday necessities. A small weekly market offers fruit and vegetables on Saturdays.
Within easy walking distance are:
- Villa Ludwigshöhe, the summer residence of Ludwig I of Bavaria
- Rietburg Castle (also accessible by chairlift) with a large viewing terrace overlooking the Rhine plain
- Schweizer Haus, above Weyher
- The neighboring villages of Rhodt, Hainfeld, and Burrweiler
- Several Palatinate Forest cabins within a 10 km radius

Activities
- The topography of Weyher and the surrounding area is ideal for mountain biking.
- On Weyher’s local mountain, the Blättersberg, there is a paragliding launch site at an altitude of 520 meters.
- Golf courses can be found in Essingen (approx. 12 km) and in Neustadt-Geinsheim (approx. 20 km).
- Tennis is available in nearby Hainfeld and Edenkoben, and Edesheim boasts a beautiful outdoor swimming pool nestled among the vineyards.
